WiFi Upgrade Functionality

WiFi upgrade functionality is a core feature of the DO928. It is primarily used in the following scenarios:

  • Fixing vulnerabilities discovered during customer use
  • Providing customized features and user interfaces

Customer devices do not need to be returned to the factory; they can be upgraded directly to the latest version via WiFi.

Important Notes

WiFi upgrades are performed only when customers report malfunctions or request feature updates. Customers must provide the instrument serial number (SN). We do not automatically push updates when internal software is updated.

The instrument serial number is required to execute updates. The update program can only run after we upload the update file to the server. Running the update program directly on the instrument will result in failure, as the program cannot execute the update.

Q How does the WiFi upgrade feature work, and do I need to send the device back?
A No, you do not need to return the device. The WiFi upgrade is performed remotely. You simply provide your instrument serial number (SN) to the support team, and after the update file is uploaded to the server, you can complete the upgrade directly on the instrument via WiFi.
Q Will the firmware update automatically when new software is released?
A No. Updates are not pushed automatically. WiFi upgrades are only initiated when a customer reports a malfunction or specifically requests a feature update. You must provide your serial number (SN) for the update to proceed.
Q Which parameters have alarm functionality?
A All 9 monitored parameters support alarm settings: Speed, RPM, Boost, Water Temperature, Oil Temperature, Oil Pressure, Voltage, Air-Fuel Ratio, and Exhaust Temperature. You can configure threshold alerts for each parameter independently.
Q What is the warranty policy for the DO928 gauge?
A The DO928 comes with a one-year warranty, which covers manufacturing defects. Damage caused by human factors or improper use is not covered. All warranty claims require proof of professional installation.
Q Does the gauge support both metric and imperial units?
A Yes. The DO928 supports both metric and imperial unit systems. For example, speed can be displayed in KM/H or MPH, temperature in °C or °F, and pressure in PSI or BAR — allowing flexible configuration to suit your preference.
